HP Large Format Ignites Scalability, Growth for PSPs

The new HP Latex FS Printer Series and Live Production Software boost profitability of mid-high volume print service providers.

HP has announced the launch of its HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series, and the general availability of Live Production features announced at drupa for Nov. 11, 2024. The new printer series, along with the industry-first Live Production, showcases HP’s commitment to enabling print services providers with the right tools to expand and scale large format print applications for Print Service Providers (PSPs) in an increasing changing market.

Connecting Scalability and Growth

In today’s rapidly evolving business environment, businesses must be prepared for constant change. HP understands the challenges PSPs face in balancing profitability and investment in a rapidly evolving industry. Economic conditions, labor costs, and technological advancements present both opportunities and dilemmas.

For PSPs, the dilemma is clear: they must invest in technology to remain competitive, yet doing so without careful consideration of scalability can strain their resources. HP’s scalable platform addresses this challenge by providing solutions that grow with the business.

“Introducing the new HP Latex FS50 and FS60 printer series, along with the anticipated availability of Live Production’s new features, is more than a product launch,” said Daniel Martinez, global head and GM, HP Large Format. “These solutions are designed to empower mid-large volume print service providers to embrace the future with state-of-the-art hardware and software solutions, fostering continuous adaptability. By enabling their workflows and equipment to evolve hand in hand with their businesses, these cutting-edge solutions ensure that our customers remain competitive in the ever-changing market”.

Powering Growth by Unlocking New Business Potential

According to Oscar Vidal, global director, product & strategy, Large Format Print, “We understand the importance of scalability and growth for high volume and long run print service providers. With the introduction of the HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series and the upcoming availability of the new features of Live Production software, we are expanding scalability to both hardware and software solutions. Our goal is to provide PSPs with the tools they need to achieve sustainable growth and thrive in an ever-changing market.”

Profitability through Adaptability and Stunning Results

The HP Latex FS50 is a scalable platform ready to address growing business needs, ideal for large PSPs seeking efficiency in super wide format printing. Similarly, HP reports that the HP Latex FS60 prints at speeds of up to 89 m²/hour (958 ft²/hour), boosting productivity and cost effectiveness with its modular and scalable design. PSPs can further reduce costs over time by upgrading to 10L ink capacity and using user-replaceable printheads.

Offering a wide range of signage and décor applications, including thin films, vinyl, and odorless backlit textiles, both models ensure consistent color and quality configurations. The HP Latex FS50 is available worldwide, while the HP Latex FS60 is offered in selected regions.

Streamlining Workflow with Live Production New Features

HP’s Live Production software is a solution that empowers PSPs to remotely manage their printing workflow. The HP PrintOS Live Production solution allows users to control devices remotely and act on their printer queue in real time both from desktop and the new mobile app.  This helps PSPs to scale and improve profitability, streamlining production, and achieving greater efficiency.

Customers have emphasized the importance of remote control in Live Production, especially in regions facing labor shortages. Automation and remote management capabilities are crucial for addressing these challenges, as businesses seek to reduce manual intervention and streamline their workflows.

“Adaptability is the key to supporting PSPs’ growth and profitability. Our new solutions enable PSPs to seamlessly adapt their workflows and equipment to the ever-changing landscape of their businesses. By investing in innovations in hardware and software, PSPs can stay ahead of the curve in this technology-driven industry,” said Vidal.
